At 4am May 27th, surf Photographer (and great friend) Kuni Takanami drove Sage, Sean and myself down the coast to Onjuku.
Kuni and I had the photos covered, he was in the surf and I was on dry land cruising.......
It was freezing in the water and sipping cold coffee didn't help........but the waves were glassy so we all felt kinda groovey inside.

great images, keep her on mate !, you are going to have to stop posting images of the japan trip, i am getting very jealous, green as grass with envy, hope you will display some of the alaias at the wooden boards day in currumbin, grant newby the event organiser would be stoked to see them in the flesh, mike c from the outer islands of NZ
hi micro... thanks mate, yep think that's about it from japan now. the whole crew is back at work so just a fast fading memory.
the alaias are still traveling tho,in japan now, then the states & we will try to get them back here for some kind of show... when is the currumbin gig happening?
