The crack of dawn my alarm is screaming at me, I can faintly hear the train tooting as it's anxiously waking the seaside San Clemente. The door opens and Jake's enthusiastic appearance stokes me, I hear Kai shuffling around in the room next door as we all know there isn't any wind outside. I gather my camera bag whilst the boys are waxing the boards for the morning, we run down the rough road to where we meet a gigantic staircase we all don't want anything to do with. The waves are small but it's offshore and quiet. Within seconds we are at bottom of the stairs, hoots are thrown from each direction which urges the boys to race their way into the boundary of the ocean. Wave after wave, hour after hour we decide that it's time to call it a wrap.
Yep, we had to walk up those stairs once more.
