Goons in Bali

The Goons play back-to-back in Bali, shots and words by Nikko.

'Throwing down, letting go and with such good energy, there were plenty of moments, that when experiencing them, I knew I'd remember them for a long time.'

Ingredients: Goons. Mylie and the Milkshakes. Andy Six String. Bobby Moore. Tyler Mars. An entourage of leather pant wearing smiley, stoked people with a mission to rock four venues in four nights.

Warm-Up: Take the stage playing a different song than your band mates. Switch instruments a few times. Play your guitar upside down backwards. Have a Bintang.

..... geez.... hope they've got some occy straps on board... a few boxes hit the road (hopefully not literally) to Japan carrying winter woolies made with love in Bali......

The Stedman's Lair

Shane Stedman's a lovely bloke and a bit of a legend within the industry, and Luke (Shane's son) is a pretty decent surfer who's recently got involved in the rag trade. The guys over at Vauxlair have shot up their joint. Nice to see one of Benny Water's pieces hanging off the timber and pretty sure that's a familiar old Mambo poster hanging beside it.

Regular TCSS contributor Gary Parker is clearly a man deeply in love with the sea. I get the feeling he spends as much time in, on, under the ocean as he does on dry land.
