... just in time for Spring, Rui Ribeiro, founder of the Magic Quiver blog, has opened his store in Ericeira, Portugal and TCSS is proud to be represented instore.

The opening is this Saturday with a movie & live music to add to the good times.

Nyepi New Year

It was a big night in Bali last night with the start of the Nyepi (Bali New Year) celebrations. The whole Island shuts down from sunrise today till sunrise tomorrow in an effort to rid Bali of evil spirits for another year.

Jim is in Bali and sent back shots of some floats that hit the street outside his local. Made of papier mache and bamboo, these monsters are supposed to scare the evil spirits up to the sky. At sunset all lights are left off so the spirits can't find their way back down to earth. Today everyone is indoors - no electricity allowed, no cars, no computers... and no surfing!

... Wax Off is on again. The annual art show curated by Xavier Davies is opening Easter Thursday at one of our favourite venues - Dos Primos in Torquay.

Always an interesting line up of artists makes this a show not to miss... wax whatever you need to to get there.

... the Festival of Surf has wrapped for another year at Noosa... old mates reunited, new friends made, a bit of swell, a lot of laughs... good times.

Alex Gibson got up close and personal with Kerry Down when the big swells hit the Central Coast a few weeks back.






Not long after this shot was taken, Kerry got a bit too close to the reef and ended up with a severed artery & 10 stitches in his hand. That's one way to get out of painting the house mate.
