Nice work Tom! I reckon you've neatly captured the quiet, simple, genuine joy of a late arvo log sesh.

free stuff!!

TCSS has a couple of promos on the go at the moment to help you get into some free gear - that's gotta be handy.

SurfStitch are giving away a TCSS "Chief" trucker cap with every purchase of Critical product.... just enter the code "CRITICAL" at the checkout for your top hat.

Click on the pic below to go to the promo

Also feeling mighty generous are the guys at Thalia Surf & Drift Magazine. They are giving away a 6'6" Egg which we are covering with one of our Fish Finger board bags. The lucky winner also gets a selection of TCSS threads. Runner up gets a Green Eggs board bag & a tee, 3rd place gets you a pair of boardies & a cap. Not bad!

Tyler Warren #018

Tyler Warren just had time to wash & press his best trunks after a quick trip to Mexico before jumping a plane to Tokyo with his Alaia, shaped by Paul Joske.

Between wash cycles Tyler burnt an unbelievably intricate Mandala design into the deck of #018:

& there you have it - the Blank Plank project complete.... thanks to everyone involved: shapers, artists, photographers & technicians

Installation at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse is this Friday & we'll be posting Elle Green's pics of the day.

yowser!

Jim Mitchell #017

I had a bit of a crash course at poker work last week - not Texas Hold 'em, but the red hot, wood burning type of poker... my house still smells of Paulownia smoke... smells good.

It was an honour to have such a beautiful canvas to work on, thank you Paul Joske.

Tyler Warren's still to come - then next stop Tokyo - get the Asahi in the fridgeru Masahiro!

Steven Harrington #140

.... Alaia #140 was the most technical of the whole project.

We asked National Forest artist Steven Harrington
to come up with a design for this board
- Steven's sketches & concepts below:

we then took Steven's design to Image Plastics
out in the wild west 'burbs of Padstow, where Bert
got it ready to meet their new laser burner

the new burner can work on art up to 2 metres long
but this was to be its maiden voyage, so I had some
nervous moments as we started her up.....

beautiful!

(who couldn't wait any longer & hopped an early plane to Tokyo in case I asked for more work)

That's a window all right! Looks like a '57 Chevy I used to have

A window and wall developed for our good friends over at Thalia St Surf Store, Laguna. The signage graphics all derived from a variety of TCSS tee prints and hand painted on 3mm ply. The Bodhi tee by Ben Waters is at Thalia now and available for purchase through their online store, get in quick it's a limited edition.

Ben Waters # 141

.... less than a week to go before we fly out to Japan and the alaia artworks are starting to come together.

Ben Waters got out his one hair paintbrush and applied acrylic & wash to his woody canvas. Elle Green was there to capture the action.
