Hydrophillic Board Store Opens

Robbie's been a busy boy. Organising Side Slippin, writing stuff and shooting stuff.

Words and pics below from The Wardo.

'The Hydrophillic Board Store opening / art show kicked off another boutique style store in the surfing mecca of Australia, Torquay on Saturday June 4th 2011.

It was a fun event, lots of killer art, the Thomas Boards looked amazing and Tyler Hatzikian was a good dude chillin with a few beers and talking story with all the crusty sea dogs including resident foam carvers Chizza and co of South Coast Surfboards.

Artists featured Ryan Heywood, Luke Taaffee, Ed Sloane, Nick Morris, Rob Weeks and Xavier Davies hanging in the glassing factory added a unique feel to the often stale galleries the brain was over come with the intoxicating resin, foam and paint fumes running through the air.

Located beside on Baines Crescent, be sure to drop by and pick up a coffee at Soul Fuel and sled on the way for your next shred.'

Looooongboard

9ft + single

... TCSS are stoked to be co-sponsors of the inaugural Deus ex Machina 9ft & Single surf comp being held at Canggu, Bali next weekend, Sunday June 19th... not least because it means we'll have to be there to take part in the judging... very happy to escape Sydney winter for a while... yeeeew!

Rumour has it Monty will be performing a rarely seen manoeuvre called the fire hydrant. Points are awarded for old skool style... drop knee cut-backs, cross stepping and nose riding.

Go here to read all about it

Entries are open now for the event... highly recommended if you can swing it with the boss. Call Monty (names) on +62 81916710051 or email: info@deus.co.id to enter.

TCSS is WTW (Waiting for The Wave)

Just last week TCSS installed some work at WTW in Aoyama, Tokyo. Took a few hours to secure the wooden panels up the wall. We came back early next day to paste up Mega Bodhi in the stores entrance.

Later that night we returned for an opening 'Reception' (as Japanese like to call it).

Welcome to WTW my name is Bodhizafa

The TCSS panels stand at 330 metres tall...well almost

Our Alias from last year's Greenroom slide in nicely

WTW staff

Hey Ho, Lets Go......have a bath

Sam and Bodhi

and we are now WTP - Waiting for the Party

Sam spoke about the work

Our fellow mates band played in store reception. Good turn out!

Ty, Sam and Mune aka Van Man (Ty was especially psyched by the band)

TCSS Winter/Fall : Numero Uno

Arghh..our first ever Winter (Fall) product has hit stores below the equator. I'm pretty darn sure when we started this thing the concept was an endless summer.. (kinda ex-president'esque) never really having to design/produce a winter range.. oh well..the kids'gotta eat. We've pulled on the artistic talent of Andrew Holder for this range, you can view his art here and his A'Ok T-Shirt print here (comes in black and white).

Huge thanks to our pals Simon Perini and Jack Tar for helping us out with the shoot. TCSS Winter can be found within the wintery walls of these stores, if you live outside a days drive let Australia Post do the walking and buy from our online store.
